The client wanted an updated kitchen with functional storage open to the dining room. They desired a welcoming aesthetic evocative of Saltillo, Mexico.​

We eliminated the kitchen island to accommodate a bank of wall cabinets. Custom rift-sawn white oak cabinetry included ample drawer storage and organizing components for pans and cutlery. A recessed cooktop niche displays oils and spices accented by a Venetian plaster hood. The dining room features a bar with a waterfall countertop connecting to the kitchen cabinet peninsula; a quaint coffee bar and a Venetian plaster fireplace with a live-edge walnut mantle. Saltillo-look tile unifies the spaces.​
